Welcome to the Transcript landing page for questions and information on requesting transcripts. West Virginia State University partners with National Student Clearinghouse for transcript and verification services. Before ordering, please read the information below on ordering a WVSU transcript. 


TRANSCRIPT SERVICES

Account Holds

 If you have any financial or social obligation to the University resulting in a transcript hold, you will not be allowed to proceed with the order until the hold is resolved. Please contact the prospective office in which the hold is listed. Once the hold is lifted, you may proceed with your order.

Registered Student

  • Enrolled or registered in the term you are requesting a transcript, you have two options
    1. “Current – as is” Transcript:Transcript reflects grades and degrees as of order date. Courses in progress for the current term will be listed as such.
    2. After Grades Are Posted:Transcript will be processed after grades are posted for current term
      • If you do not have courses registered in the term requested, your order will not be processed. The order will be canceled, you can proceed using the Previous Student instructions below.

Previous Student

  • No longer enrolled or registered for courses at this time. Without active registration for the term, there is only one option as there are no longer active course grades pending.
    • “Current – as is” Transcript
      • ​Selecting any other options will result in a cancellation and your order will not be processed.
  • Students that attended West Virginia State University prior to 1995 can only request a paper transcript for mail delivery.

Fees & Delivery

All Transcripts are a flat fee of $20.00  

  • Electronic delivery via email: $20.00 
  • Mail Delivery/Hold for Pickup: $20.00
    • Mail delivery is via U.S. Mail *
      • Please note these requests require additional time for processing as such will still work to mail these within three business days of the order, barring any unforeseen issues or delays. 
      • Students enrolled prior to 1995 should allow the office the same additional time for processes in order to research the records and locate archived transcripts.

Degree Verification Service fee: $24.95 (14.95+ 10.00)

Additional Information 

  • Please allow for 1-2 business days to process general transcript orders for electronic delivery.
  • Your payment will not be processed until your transcript is printed or sent.
  •  If your record is not found after research, your order will be canceled and you will not be charged, you can contact the Office of the Registrar below with any questions or to resolve any issues.
  • The electronic transcript delivery option will expire 30 days after initial sent date. Requests and deliveries outstanding beyond the 30 days must be requested again. 
  • To retrieve and view the electronic transcript Adobe Reader 9 or higher is required, or Chrome users must also enable PDF Viewer.
