Education, Scholarship, Service
The Office of Academic Affairs is an active and effective team committed to quality education, scholarship, and service. The office strives to create an equitable and inclusive learning community for our diverse student body. Academic Affairs includes a campus-wide, involved and informed faculty and staff dedicated to strengthening and growing our academic programs. The team strives to meet students at their point of need with personal connections to support student success and lifelong learning.
Welcome to the Office of Academic Affairs
It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the Provost and Vice President, as part of the State family at this very juncture in its history. Together we will grow and succeed in the fulfillment of our mission to meet the higher education and economic development needs of the state and the region through innovative teaching and applied research.
As I look forward to the beginning of the semester, I find inspiration in the words “One book, one pen, one student, and one teacher can change the world.” I believe that the teaching and mentoring we do are transformative, and in doing so may truly transform the world – we have seen the proof.
I invite you to join me in thinking about creative ways to further support your work as teachers and scholars; to enhance the academic achievement of all of our students; highlight our signature programs, establish new and innovative learning pathways, and broadly communicate our past and future successes to each other, our colleagues, our alumni, and our prospective students and their families. I look forward to our work together.
