New Student Orientation

All first time freshmen and new transfer students are required to complete the online orientation and advising.

New Student Orientation will introduce you to the traditions, expectations, programs and services of WVSU. Orientation provides you with the resources and access to the tools and information that you will need to have a successful college experience. New Student Orientation is the only way to begin your journey as a new Yellow Jacket.

New Student Orientation is a mandatory program. Completion is required for all new first time freshmen and transfer students. Once you have completed your online orientation you will be connected to your advisor to schedule your courses. Finally, during Welcome Days you will get to experience the warmth and kindness of the WV State faculty and staff as you prepare for the upcoming semester and to become a part of the Yellow Jacket Nation.

Additional information on course scheduling and Welcome Days will be emailed to your WVSU Campus Email.
