West Virginia State University Extension Service Launches Live Agricultural Q&Amp;A Series

Contact: Jack Bailey (304) 766-4109 jbaile19@wvstateu.edu INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service will launch a monthly series of live question and answer sessions with agricultural experts beginning Tuesday, July 14, at 6 p.m. EST. The WVSU Ag Talk Tuesday sessions will take place the second Tuesday of each month via Zoom.
The project stems from the organization’s move to a digital program delivery platform in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which limited face-to-face interaction with extension personnel.
“We’ve gathered feedback from our program participants over time and wanted to provide a platform to interact with our team and other experts on agricultural topics relevant to the people of West Virginia,” said Dr. Annette Ericksen, WVSU Extension Service’s assistant program director for agriculture and natural resources. “We’ll host an hour-long session each month in which we will answer questions and lead discussions about a topic and talk with West Virginia’s farmers and gardeners in a live virtual format.”
The full WVSU Ag Talk Tuesdays schedule for 2020 is as follows: To participate in the Zoom sessions, participants are to register at . Registering once provides access to the full schedule of sessions.
While live questions will be answered during each session, participants are also encouraged to submit questions, as well as ideas for future topics, ahead of time to .
