INSTITUTE, W.Va. – West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service will host a free workshop on composting methods Saturday, Aug. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Welch Armory in Welch, W.Va.
The workshop will educate attendees on the variety of methods for composting, which is the process of recycling decomposed organic materials into nutrient-rich soil.
“We will be covering a variety of composting methods at this workshop,” said WVSU Extension Agent Annette Ericksen. “The instruction will cover multiple experience and interest levels, whether you’re a small producer or a residential, backyard gardener.”
