INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The Montclaire String Quartet, the Quartet in Residence at West Virginia State University (WVSU), will be conducting a recital on Thursday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fannin S. Belcher Theatre of the Davis Fine Arts Building on the school’s Institute campus.
The performance is free and open to the public.
During the evening’s recital the quartet will be performing Franz Schubert’s Quartettsatz in C minor, Dmitri Shostakovich’s String Quartet No.10 in A flat major, and Felix Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No.3 in D major.
Last fall, the quartet, formerly the resident quartet of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO), agreed to a collaboration to become the Quartet in Residence at WVSU.
