West Virginia State University Seeking Entries for Fourth Annual Student Film Festival

INSTITUTE, W.Va. — West Virginia State University (WVSU) is now accepting submissions for the fourth annual Tower Awards for Student Film and Media Arts to be held April 28, 2016.
In addition to serving as a platform for West Virginia State students, for the first time the University is inviting submissions from all actively enrolled students at any West Virginia college or university. The competition is also open to all West Virginia based high school students, including home school students of high school age.
“Last year’s event really showcased the talent we have coming up in our young filmmakers,” said film festival director and WVSU communications instructor Roger Echols. “I can’t wait to see what they come up with this year.”
The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2016, by 5 p.m.
Categories include: narrative, non-fiction, abstract, vine and more.
Monetary prizes and trophies designed by the WVSU art department will be awarded to winners of each category as well as the best in show.
