Yellow Jackets Football Team to Hold Kids’ Day Camp

INSTITUTE, W.Va – The West Virginia State University football coaching staff and players will host a free Kids’ Day Camp on Saturday, April 27, prior to the annual Black and Gold Spring Game.
Campers will learn and practice the fundamentals and techniques of each position. This high-energy, productive, fun camp will also emphasize the importance of hard work, selflessness, integrity, passion, discipline, and attention to details.
The camp will be held from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and is open to kids in grades 1 through 8. Participants are not required to bring pads and need to wear a comfortable shirt, shorts, and shoes.
The WVSU Black and Gold Spring game follows at 3:00 p.m. at the University’s Lakin Field. The game is free and open to the public.
Parents may register their child online at or in person at Lakin Field beginning at 9:30 a.m. the morning of the camp.
