West Virginia State University (WVSU) will host a public solar eclipse viewing event on Monday, April 8, the date of the upcoming partial solar eclipse. The free event will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is open to all WVSU students, faculty and staff as well as the general public.

West Virginia State University (WVSU) is launching a new speaker series focused on public leadership to be moderated by WVSU President Ericke S. Cage. The premiere Conversations on Leadership event will take place on Monday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m. and will feature a conversation between President Cage and Marshall University President Brad D. Smith.

The Highmark West Virginia Charitable Fund for Health has awarded a $305,000 grant for the establishment of a new nursing scholarship program at West Virginia State University (WVSU).

West Virginia State University (WVSU) opened a new Yellow Jacket Career Closet today designed to provide students with business professional clothing for interviews, career fairs, formal events, or any career-related functions, both on and off campus.

West Virginia State University (WVSU) will host a Women’s History Month panel discussion on the topic of “The Evolving Roles of Females in Appalachia.” The panel discussion will take place on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the Fannin S. Belcher Theatre of the Davis Fine Arts Building.

West Virginia State University (WVSU) will host a free workshop on Thursday, March 21, for current WVSU students and families on filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

West Virginia State University’s (WVSU) annual Day of Giving Challenge will take place over a 24-hour period starting at noon on Tuesday, March 19, and continuing through noon on Wednesday, March 20, with a goal of raising $500,000 to support student success.

West Virginia State University (WVSU) will host its annual Career and Employment Expo on Thursday, April 4, in the James C. Wilson Student Union. The expo is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free and open to all job seekers including WVSU students, alumni, and the general public.
