WVSU Student Groups to Host “Spooky Science Spookathon” Saturday, Oct. 28

West Virginia State University (WVSU) students will host a free science event for the community this Saturday, Oct. 28, beginning at 9 a.m. on the school’s Institute campus. The “Spooky Science Spookathon” will promote science through a variety of hands on activities and will also include a costume contest, face painting, raffle, a spooky walk of campus, and a haunted house with scientific demonstrations and activities.

WVSU Energy and Environmental Science Institute Awarded $750,000 from the United States Department of Energy

West Virginia State University’s (WVSU) Energy and Environmental Science Institute has received $750,000 from the United States Department of Energy (DoE) to research bioenergy and climate change with the goal of enhancing crop improvement on reclaimed surface mine lands.
