Friday, July 31, COVID-19 Testing Moved Inside Fleming Hall

Because of expected weather conditions, the COVID-19 testing being offered by the
Kanawha
Charleston Health Department on campus on Friday, July 31, will be moved inside Fleming Hall.
Students, faculty and staff taking part in the testing on Friday should park in Lot G West
outside the Walker Convocation Center. Testing will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No
appointments are necessary to be tested. The tests are free, but everyone being tested is
asked
to bring a photo ID as well as proof of insurance (if you have insurance). The Health
Department
is using a nasal live-virus anterior swab test.

West Virginia State University, Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College Announce 2+2 Agreement in Criminal Justice

INSTITUTE, W.Va. -West Virginia State University (WVSU) and Southern West
Virginia Community and Technical College (SWVCTC) have signed a memorandum of understanding
enabling students who complete a two-year, associate degree in criminal justice at SWVCTC to
continue their education into a four-year program at WVSU.

West Virginia State University Extension Service Launches Live Agricultural Q&Amp;A Series

West Virginia State University (WVSU) Extension Service will launch a monthly series of
live question and answer sessions with agricultural experts beginning Tuesday, July 14, at 6
p.m. EST. The WVSU Ag Talk Tuesday sessions will take place the second Tuesday of each month

West Virginia State University Presidential Finalists Named

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The West Virginia State University (WVSU) Presidential Search Committee has selected three higher education leaders as the finalists to become the 12 president of the University. Dr. Nicole Pride, vice provost for academic strategy and operations at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University; Dr. Patricia Ramsey, senior executive fellow at the Thurgood Marshall College Fund; and, Dr. Rodney Smith, president and CEO of the University of The Bahamas, have been invited to campus next week to meet with constituent groups.
