WVSU Receives Grant Funds for New Agriculture Research and Development Projects

INSTITUTE, W.Va. -West Virginia State University (WVSU) has received $40,000
in
grant funding for agricultural research projects relating to alternative growing methods for
farmers and diversifying the crops produced in West Virginia, including the reintroduction of
pecans as a viable crop. Each of the three grant awards are funded through the West Virginia
Department of Agriculture’s (WVDA) Specialty Crop Block Grant Program.

West Virginia State to Host Discussion on Inclusive Education Thursday, Oct. 16

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The West Virginia State University (WVSU) Office of
Disability Services in coordination with the Fair Shake Network will sponsor a viewing of the
documentary “Including Samuel” and a panel discussion on inclusive
education
on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in room 134 of the Wilson University Union.
