INSTITUTE, W.Va. — The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources will bring its
“Archery in the Schools” training program to West Virginia State
University
(WVSU) on Friday, Nov. 14.

in
grant funding for agricultural research projects relating to alternative growing methods for
farmers and diversifying the crops produced in West Virginia, including the reintroduction of
pecans as a viable crop. Each of the three grant awards are funded through the West Virginia
Department of Agriculture’s (WVDA) Specialty Crop Block Grant Program.

The student chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) at West Virginia State
University (WVSU) is receiving its third consecutive Outstanding Chapter Award for its
2013-2014
activities. The group is also receiving Green Chemistry Chapter recognition for the fifth year
in a row.

documentary “Including Samuel” and a panel discussion on inclusive

Brian
O. Hemphill announced an increased fundraising goal for the University’s ongoing
Capital Campaign “Realize the Promise, Deliver the Future” to $18 million
by
2017.

booster organization, the “W” Club, will induct eight new members into the
University’s Sports Hall of Fame with a brunch at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, in

University (WVSU) ROTC Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony Friday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m.
