Eligibility criteria

• Enrolled as a continuing student in a degree-seeking program
• Meets WVSU’s sa                                                                                                                                                                                                       term to participate in summer term
• Completed 24 credit hours with at least a grade of “C” in English 101
• Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 or higher

academic credit options

• *Option 1 – For academic credit:
  • 150 hours at the internship site for 3 credit hours
  • 100 hours at the internship site for 2 credit hours

*Additional credit hours will be determined by the Academic Department

• Option 2 – Not for academic credit:
  • At least 50 hours at the internship site

Pay rate

The pay rate will be a minimum of $15.00 per hour. The actual rate will be determined by Career Services and the Internship site.

2. Activate a Handshake account and complete the profile.
3. Submit to Career Services a resume, letter of recommendation (from the Department Chair for the student’s major, faculty/staff member or community leader) and unofficial transcripts.
4. Submit to Career Services an essay of your educational goals and how this internship will benefit you.
5. Career Services staff will review the internship interest form, qualifications, career interests and suitability for the program.

PROJECT SUCCESS PAID INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
