Dr. Michael Young graduated from WV State College in 1986 with BA in Economics, minor in Business Administration. He also taught economics at WVSC from 1990-1993. After earning his PhD from U of Connecticut in 1999, he moved to Hong Kong where he lived and worked for 19 years teaching at 2 different universities. Since 2017 he has taught at Appalachian State University.  Dr. Young has over 200 cases, conference presentations and journal publications with over 4,000 citations on Google Scholar and specializes in Chinese management practice.  He has travelled to nearly every province in China and speaks basic Chinese.  However, he is happy to have the opportunity to return to WVSU and contribute to his beloved alma mater.
