The long-term goal of my research in fish nutrition includes:

Investigation of nutritional requirements of species with potential economic importance

Studying of the interrelationships between nutrition, immunity and resistance to bacteria and parasites of fish of economic importance

Studying means of utilizing nutritional strategies to reduce aquaculture waste production such as phosphorus and nitrogen

And designing and conducting basic and applied nutritional experiments on finfish and crustacea.

Utilization of recovered protein from treated poultry and/or municipal wastes as dietary supplement for aquaculture.
Collaboration with WVU on trout yield verification trial (TYVT).

I teach undergraduate courses in the following areas: Introductory Biology and Zoology.

I am working to develop strong Zoology and Aquaculture programs at WVSU.
