West Virginia State University | West Virginia State University

At WVSU, we conduct research that is highly applicable and responsive to agricultural and environmental needs in the state and around the world, while providing hands-on student learning opportunities.

Ensuring that proper procedures and guidelines are followed in this process is a vital part of that process.

Here you'll find information about our research guidelines and procedures, as well as pertinent information for staff members applying for research grants.

You can also access the latest edition of our grants newsletter to stay updated on the most current grant-related news and information at WVSU.

It is the policy of West Virginia State University that:

  • Anyone considering applying for any type of grant complete an Intent to Submit Form as soon as possible.
  • The complete, ready-to-submit grant package, along with a completed and signed Internal Approval Form, be forwarded to the Grants and Contracts Office one week (seven calendar days) before the grant due date. In certain circumstances an earlier deadline may be specified.
