First Time Freshman

Coming to WVSU is easy! Just submit the items below and you'll find yourself ready for the first day of classes in no time!
  • WVSU admissions application and $20 application fee (apply online or submit a paper application)
  • ACT or SAT scores (States' ACT code is 4538 and the SAT code is 5903)
  • Official high school transcript or GED certificate showing your completion date
  • Immunization Records (if born after January 1, 1957)
  • Students taking dual credit courses at another institution must request for your official transcript to be sent to the admissions office to receive credit.

Scholarships and Financial Aid
  • Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting October 1st. Our priority deadline is December 1st, but you can still apply any time after that. WVSU's FAFSA code is 003826
  • The FAFSA application is required for both scholarship and financial aid consideration.  
All freshmen are required to live on campus (see exceptions on the Residence Life & Services page). Complete the online Housing application.
